Indie Ministries
We have a little of an “indie spirit” at Riverview.
We think this is a great thing. We value the Biblical principle that every follower of Jesus is a minister in one way or another. To this end, we encourage everyone who’s part of the Riv family to be actively involved in ministry. We also encourage our people to be involved in the myriad of ministry happening outside of Riv. There are many great ministries in the greater Lansing area, and we’re excited to see people using their gifts and serving with them.
Here are links* to Facebook groups or pages for some of the great indie ministries associated with Riverview Church. Check them out to learn how to get involved:

» Stories {Photography by Ray Lang} Exhibition in The Corridor Gallery
Posted on Wednesday, Sep 30, 2009
Ray Lang is a freelance photographer who’s traveled on several overseas short-term mission trips. He goes on these trips to bring back pictures of what God is doing in third world nations through the people, cultures and their surroundings — far removed from Michigan. Ray takes an entourage of cameras with him and shoots with mostly black and white film. He believes that black and white best captures the essence and true character of the people and cultures that he encounters. Each image has a story behind it because each person has a story.
The current exhibition in The Corridor Gallery (at Riverview's Holt Venue) features some of these images and the stories behind them, as photographed and written by Ray.
