RivMexico

Riverview has a vision to reach the city of Monterrey, Mexico for Jesus. We seek to do this by focusing on the thousands of abandoned or orphaned children who live daily with little material or spiritual hope. Our goal is to reach every child God brings into our path by helping to meet their personal needs, developing a long-term relationship with them, and supporting their spiritual growth so that they may establish a personal relationship with Jesus. Riv has several opportunites each year for people to go on a week-long mission trip to Monterrey in partnership with Back2Back Ministries. We’d love for every single person who attends Riverview to consider going at least once. We want these short-term mission trips to achieve the most long-term impact possible and bring lasting hope to these kids.

Providing "Care for Today, Hope for Tomorrow" is the mission of Back2Back Ministries. This organization serves to come alongside several different orphanages and impoverished communities in Monterrey and provide both physical and spiritual support.

If you choose to go on one of the RivMexico trips, you'll have the opportunity to bless residents of poverty-stricken communities with food and other necessities. You will spend time with orphans who are in great need of adult interaction. (Don't worry, you don't need to speak Spanish, the language for these kids is "play.") You will also get to participate in some work projects to improve their quality of life. Your accommodations for the week will be humble, but very functional and secure. You can even drink the water at the Back2Back campus. There will be even be free time built in to play basketball, swim, play cards, or just talk with the staff.

Run for the Abandoned: Help Riverview Church Help Orphans in Monterrey, Mexico

This 5K Run/Walk/Kids' Fun Run is Saturday, April 17, starting at 10:00 am at Riverview Church. Plan to arrive by 9:00 am the morning of the race. There will be awards, prizes, food, and beverages afterward. View the 5K course here.

There is also a Carb Dinner/Raffle on Friday, April 16, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Riverview Church. Packet pick-up is at the same time.

Registration cost: $15/person or $30/family, if registered by Saturday, April 10
Late registration: 8:30 - 9:30 am on Saturday, April 17 at Riverview Church
Late registration cost: $20/person or $35/family
Carb Dinner tickets: $8/person or $20/family
Raffle tickets: 3 for $5

RivMexico and RivRunners are hosting a 5K Run/Walk/Kids' Fun Run to help raise money to send people to Monterrey, Mexico to serve orphans. It’s Saturday, April 17 at Riv’s Holt Venue, starting at 10:00 am. There’s also a Carb Dinner/Raffle on Friday, April 16 from 6:00-9:00 pm.

The registration cost for the 5K is $15/person or $30/family, and the deadline is Saturday, April 10. Carb Dinner tickets are $8/person or $20/family, and raffle tickets are 3 for $5. Register for both these events at Mexico.RivChurch.com, or pick-up a registration form at RivWarehouse in the lobby at the Holt Venue during a weekend service.

Trip Dates: 7/3 - 7/9

First meeting is 1/10 at 1pm at Riverview.

The money is due 4/1, please be collecting that and giving it to the church as you can.

The next two meetings are going to be either 3/7 or 3/14 and 5/9 or 5/16. When we solidify that we will notify you.

The final meeting will be 5/27.

March Trip information

Trip dates are 3/6 - 3/12.

There will be another meeting scheduled in the coming weeks.

All the money is due 1/15 at the church.

We need the Back2Back forms returned to the office as soon as possible. Remember, they need to be notarized.

The final meeting will be 2/28 at the church around 1:00ish pm.

RivMexico fund raiser event
