Classes range from a heavy Bible and theology focus to those that deal with a specific practical issue.

The Man Class Starts October 10

Men, you've been lied to—long and often. In our culture today, church is for wimps and living for Jesus is effeminate. What happened to the men we read about in Scripture who fought lions by hand, defended their homeland, committed their lives to the power of the gospel, and turned cities upside down for Christ? How do we define biblical masculinity? What does it take to be a biblical husband and father? Membership Class in September 2010

You’re invited to learn about Riverview’s vision, values, beliefs, and why we do what we do! We’ll cover what is expected of a member, and how your involvement is critical for Riverview to become all God intends it to be. Steve Sommerlot, one of our pastors, will lead the Membership Class at the Holt Venue on Sunday, September 19 at 11:30 am in Room 201. The class will meet until around 2:00 pm. The challenges of being a parent today are great, and the pressures we face to love and train our kids can be overwhelming. Join us for this seminar as we define Biblical parenting, learn valuable insights into the heart of a Godly parent, and are encouraged and challenged to be the moms and dads God designed us to be.
