Student Ministry Director
One Interesting fact about TJ
I started riding motorcycles at the age of 3 on an Indian 50 motorcycle. A few years ago, when the show “Pawn Stars” was popular, the same model of Indian 50 showed up and was considered to be 1 of less that 5 known in existence in the United States. I wish we would have kept it! I also qualified and raced at a professional level for multiple years after High School.
What do you do here at Riv
I am the Student Ministry Director. I oversee all the madness that happens as it pertains to students and volunteer leaders.
How did you learn about Jesus
I heard about Jesus growing up, but He never meant anything to me until my friends in high school, Joe and Mike, brought me to YoungLife and eventually Riverview. I came just because I loved those guys. The first couple months I came to Riv I took notes by copying whatever my friend Joe wrote. So much truth impacted my heart because I was copying those notes.
Probably “YeeYee” or a barrage of dirt bike noises like “Braaaaap” Do those count as expressions?
Whatever is on sale at Meijer. I also like water.
You will never see me without
A pack of gum in my pocket. Started chewing gum non-stop in high school and I haven’t stopped. Trident white… always.
I think every week there is a new verse that sticks to my soul, but the one I can remember first impacting me and sticking with me to this day is probably Philippians 1:21. It lays the grounds for a life philosophy. Am I stick sucking air? Then today is about Christ… Am I not? Gain. Boom. Paul was so Ivan Drago “If he dies, he dies.” *cough* Rocky IV *cough*
