As Christians, we find ourselves in three categories when it comes to open-handed beliefs: the weaker brother, the stronger brother, and the arrogant brother. The weaker is unsure of their conviction and belief, and can be swayed in a number of directions. The strong brother is sure of their convictions, but is willing to let each person decide for themselves. The arrogant brother is sure in their beliefs, and will argue to convince others of their rightness, and will not allow for differences of opinions. We all fall into these different categories at different times in our lives, but we should strive to be the stronger brother.
