What do you do here at Riv?

MSU Venue Care and Connection Coordinator

What does it look like to be in your role at Riv?

I have the privilege of leading a Redemption Group for college-aged women seeking healing, growth and redemption in the area of sexual brokenness. I also get to disciple and mentor some of the young women at our venue, coordinate our venue’s social media, and serve as our Campus Relations Coordinator, meaning I have the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with other ministries, organizations and departments at MSU and LCC.

What are some dreams you have within your role?

I want our venue to be known for our love, and for the way our people intentionally and specifically love the people around them – on an individual and organizational level.

How do you spend your free time?

I love going to concerts and being outside. I spend a lot of time napping in my hammock, hiking, stargazing, and playing my guitar.

Top three shows?

Outerbanks, New Girl and The Vampire Diaries.

What’s your favorite spot in Lansing?

Blue Owl Coffee in East Lansing. The baristas feel like friends because they are SO welcoming and personable. Aesthetics are are also really important to me and the aesthetic/vibe of Blue Owl is so warm, inviting, and whimsical. And their specialty drinks are sooo good (especially the Grandmas Goat)!

All limitations aside, what job would you love to have in an alternate reality?

I would love to be a concert tour coordinator where I would make the most impossible/unlikely concert tours happen.
My first tours would be: 1) Paramore, Pan!c at the Disco & Fall Out Boy 2) LANY, Jeremy Zucker, Lauv & Khalid 3) Arms Akimbo, The Band CAMINO, THE WLDLIFE, HARBOUR & The Academic 4) Broadside, With Confidence, MGK & LNSML
