As Riv’s Administrative Director, Betsy Gillengerten keeps the gears turning behind the scenes. She manages the day-to-day operations for our human resources and finance departments—including everything from payroll and benefits to budgets, policies, and compliance. If it involves employee records, onboarding, or accounting, chances are Betsy’s got it covered.

Betsy’s journey with Jesus began through conversations with a “really great guy” she had just started dating—who later became her husband. She describes Ephesians 2:8–9 as a daily reminder of the incredible gift of grace, and she chooses each day to trust, thank, and praise Him.

Outside of work, Betsy enjoys spending time with her family and hunting for treasures while thrifting, resale shopping, and antiquing—especially at her favorite Lansing spot, the Mega Mall. A longtime Riv attendee, she and her family first connected with the church over 16 years ago, thanks to a middle school small group invitation that made a lasting impact.
