RivKids Music and Curriculum

Kristen Cambern plays a key role on the RivKids team, coordinating and overseeing the music that helps bring each weekend’s kids’ services to life. She also writes and records original songs and develops small group lessons as part of the RivKids curriculum team, helping make the message of Jesus accessible and engaging for Riv’s youngest attenders.

Kristen first learned about Jesus from her mom at a young age and spent her childhood involved in church, especially in children’s ministry and worship teams. That early foundation has grown into a lifelong passion for helping kids know and love Jesus. She’s been part of the Riv family since 2003, originally getting connected through one of the worship teams.

When she’s not writing or recording, Kristen enjoys reading, crafting, dancing, and—no surprise—listening to and playing music. You might find her in one of her favorite Lansing spots: feeding the ducks along the Red Cedar River on MSU’s campus. A verse she tries to live by is Matthew 22:37–40, which reminds her to love God and love others—simple words with life-changing impact.
