Spencer Cobb is the Student Ministry Intern at Riverview Church, serving with the student ministry team at the Holt Venue. He regularly preaches, teaches, disciples students, and invests in their lives outside of church programming. He also leads alongside a team of volunteers, helping keep the ministry unified in its mission to point students to Jesus.
Though Spencer grew up in church, he says he lived a double life for over sixteen years, finding identity in sports, popularity, and success. After returning from a Christian camp in 2020, he experienced a turning point while alone in his room, crying out to Jesus. That night marked the start of his faith journey and a new purpose that reshaped his desires and direction.
Spencer and his wife enjoy watching sports, going on walks, and playing board games. He also plays golf, slow-pitch softball, and pick-up basketball, and he loves reading Christian literature that deepens his understanding of God’s Word. His favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21, which he says captures the heart of the Gospel—Jesus taking on our sin so that we might become the righteousness of God.
