Breathe Out, Breathe In

Read the Psalms. Whether you are going through a hard time in life or a joyous one, read the Psalms. They teach us how to breathe out the negative gunk that may plague our hearts (whether we are aware of them or not) and breathe in the joyous truths of God’s Word and the Gospel. The Psalms give a unique perspective on what the contents of the human heart look like and its relationship with God. Not only does it accomplish this, but hidden in the lines are Gospel hints that point to Jesus Christ and provide a hope for all who interact with it.
