Depend On Jesus

As followers of Jesus, we are justified before God. That means that we are seen as righteous before God because of Jesus and His finished work on the cross of taking the punishment for our sin. So does that mean that we’re free to go ahead and do whatever we want and sin without consequence?
If I’m justified, can I do whatever I want, right? Not at all!
Justification doesn’t give us the license to sin, but rather it gives us the confident assurance that we can press on in life to become more like Christ.
I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
– Philippians 1:6
Jesus is with us every step of the way in our Christian life. Jesus is at the start of our faith, Jesus walks with us and helps us grow in our faith. Jesus ultimately brings our faith to completion. In faith, we are made righteous and given the strength to press on and become more like Christ.
