Seated With Jesus

When we think about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, little notice is given to the ascension of Christ. We are enamored by the perfect life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the ride seems to end there. We are mistaken in doing so. The ascension of Christ has monumental implications in the way we believe in the Gospel and how we live it out. The ascension of Christ says we too are positionally seated with Jesus Christ in heaven, though our condition as sinners, here on earth may say otherwise. Christ’s ascension gives us a vantage point to view the entirety of our lives with eyes set on God in Heaven, rather than our sin on earth.
