This holiday season at Riv, we have a number of different ministry opportunities that our Riv family can support as we serve families in our community. We’d love for you and your family to participate in any of the following ministries:

 

Christmas Gift Card Drive

We will have collection boxes at our info centers to gather gas and grocery gift cards on Nov. 26. These cards are donated to the Ronald MacDonald House to help provide gas and groceries for families staying at the house and traveling back and forth throughout the holiday season. Any extra gift cards will be donated to Riv family members in need. 

Christmas at the Jail

Purchase set items from this Amazon gift list for delivery by Dec. 3 to help brighten the holidays for those in jail during this season. Our RivKids classes will be decorating the gift bags for this ministry and our Student Ministry students will be adding scripture verses to those gift bags before the Jail Ministry Team delivers these gifts.

Salvation Army Gift Tree

Select a tag from the tree in the RivKids area starting Nov. 12. This is a great way to include families and children as they select different gift tags from the tree, purchase a gift, and bring the unwrapped gift back to the venue by Dec. 3. The Salvation Army will distribute those gifts to families in need in the greater Lansing area.
