The local church is made up of people from multiple generations.For the Gospel proclamation to continue beyond ourselves, we unapologetically invite older generations to lay down their cultural preferences and pour into the next generations. The church is the strongest at the intersection of the wisdom and experience of olders and the passion and innovation of youngers.
Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves, so that you don’t forget the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.

If you are an older:
– practice your hospitality
– share stories of God’s faithfulness
– share the why and not just the what
If you are a younger:
– don’t dismiss tradition
– don’t forget the olders
– find someone to mentor you
– learn to commit to a church
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

We’re excited to worship with you this Easter! Whether you call Riv home, or you’re joining us for the first time, Easter is a great opportunity to gather together and celebrate Jesus! Invite your people and join us at our Holt, MSU, REO Town, and Westside Venues to celebrate Easter with the Riv fam.
Services will be family style, which just means if you’ve got kids with you you’ll bring them in the auditorium with you. Our RivKids team is putting together activity books, be sure to grab one on your way in to service!
