Faithful God, Joyful Heart

The phrase, “it can only go up from here,” comes to mind when experiencing the most excruciating pain. We wonder if there is joy to follow the pain and sorrow we feel when troubling times come about. This is what Jesus explains to His disciples as He prepares to go to the cross. He tells them of a sorrow they will experience when they see Him being nailed to the cross. However, He provides comforting words about a joy they will conquer their sorrows because of His resurrection and this applies to us well. When we face sorrow in life, we can find joy knowing that there is joy to be found in Christ conquering our struggles.
