Permanent Joy

When hardships come our way, our immediate reaction is to find a solution out of it. We think that once hardships are out of our lives, we will find joy and happiness. However, is that the case for the Christian? When looking at the Scriptures, not only have individuals such as King David asked for hardships and afflictions to be lifted, but they sought out refuge in God. When finding refuge and strength in God, that is when we receive ultimate joy, even in the midst of our struggles. We can come to God in our brokenness because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and for that we can remain joyful.
