Turn From Idolatry

What is an idol you hold onto? Is it your self-image? Perhaps it comes in the form of your children and the goals you have set for them. Or maybe it’s in your career and the positions you hold? Whatever your idol may be, God demands for them to fall and for Him to sit on the throne in your heart. God’s righteous jealousy shows us of His desire to reclaim our affections and it would be wise for us to do so because it is only in Him where we can be most satisfied. As we fight to give up our idols, we can leave them at the foot of the cross, where Christ died so that we can be set free from them.
