We Love to Control

Has anyone ever called you a control freak? It’s a harsh statement and pretty offensive, but the truth of the matter is, we all have a bit of this “control freak” within our hearts. We like to be in control to some degree, whether it be at a broad level or down to the finest details. However, Scripture tells us that having this type of heart, shows us that we may not fully trust in God’s sovereignty. It’s not a, “let go, let God” type of deal (that is just poor theology), but it’s finding the sweet spot with owning and executing the areas that we are responsible for and any other area beyond our reach, we leave to trusting in the Lord.
