Hey Riv fam, this past week has been quite an experience for all of us. It seems as though each day brings its own new development and recommendation for collectively combatting the pandemic that we’re facing. Yet with each morning we can also remember that we have a God who isn’t distant but brings us hope and a solid foundation on which to place our lives.
Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness! I say, “The Lord is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in him.” – Lamentations 3:22-24
At this point in time, we as a church are going to continue with our online weekend services through April 5, in accordance with the guidelines of our governing officials. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00am for an online service at rivchurch.com/stream.
In this season of social distancing and disrupted lives, we want to encourage you to engage with your community, seek out opportunities to serve one another, reach out to your Life Group, and most importantly remember your faith in Jesus and the truth of His Word. He will sustain us and it is through Him that we experience life.
We will continue to post updates at rivchurch.com/news as the coronavirus situation progresses around us. We’re continuing in prayer for you, our church family, and trusting that God will use all of this to reach more people with the liberating power of the Gospel.
