Thank you for sticking with us the last 14 months. Even as we think about all that has and hasn’t happened in and around Riv over the last yearish, we’re encouraged to be a part of a church family that continues to pursue Jesus.
As we’ve continued to meet online and in-person you have been such an encouragement to both our Riv staff and to each other, and your kindness and grace have not gone unnoticed. The week before everything changed last year, we studied through this passage:
And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, 25 not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.
– Hebrews 10:24-25
Now we are ready to take another step. We’re excited to share that RivKids is now open! We’re opening classrooms as quickly as we can based on safety, distancing in classrooms, and volunteer availability. So, if you’re looking for an opportunity to serve, we’d ask you to consider serving with our RivKids team. The same goes for our production teams that put together our weekend services. The biggest need we have is with our audio techs. If you are willing to step into either of those teams or any other volunteer spaces, you can go to rivchurch.com/serve to find out more info and to sign up.
If you would like to join us in person this weekend, here’s what we ask of you:
First, make sure you pre-register for service at rivchurch.com/visit, which will open up Mondays at 10am. That’s for both you and any kiddos. Secondly, don’t forget we will require masks whenever you are inside one of our buildings. If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you continue to join us online.
Again, we want to thank you for your continued support of Riv and our commitment to sharing the Gospel in Lansing and around the world. We look forward to seeing you and worshiping together!
