Suffering for the Gospel

When Jesus spoke, He set out a pretty tough standard; feed the hungry, clothe the poor, love one another, avoid sinning, keep our thoughts clean, brush our teeth twice a day. Despite our best (or worst) intentions, living up to Jesus’ commands is pretty difficult – some might say impossible.

This standard isn’t up to us to meet on our own. Jesus did the heavy lifting up front and we get to rest in His work. Our position in Christ changes how we live our lives.
