Goodbyes
Singular
Life is constant. We’re constantly facing new challenges, learning new things, meeting new people, and experiencing the never-ceasing progression of the world.
It seems as though with each new decade there comes a new cultural push; toward something, away from something else, replacing the history upon which it stands. With this constant cultural movement, the Gospel is often at odds with the current of culture.
Yet we are called to the singular truth of the Gospel. It is not our place to define what truth is, rather we look to our Creator God as the definer.
No matter the challenges, cultural pressures, or desirable pulls around us, it is Jesus that brings life, and we can confidently rest in that truth. He is our firm foundation and singular truth.
Paul, an early church planter, wrote a second letter to his son-like apprentice Timothy to encourage him to remain strong in the faith amidst false teachers rising up around him. Along with Timothy, we can take encouragement from this letter as we cling to the never-changing Word of God and stand strong in faith.
