Controlling Worship

Worship

Scripture calls us to respond to God in worship.

When we see God’s grandeur over all creation and His ever present grace in our lives, we can’t help but respond to that. Worship is simply that response to who God is and what He has done. When we proclaim the Gospel to one another, we respond to Him. When we sacrifice of ourselves for others, we respond to Him. When we acknowledge that Christ is who He said He is, we bring glory to God. In all of that, we worship.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. - 1 Peter 2:9 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we are his—his people, the sheep of his pasture. - Psalm 100:2-3
