  • Take a few minutes to review the Scripture from Psalm 39:4, James 4:13-14, Psalm 90:12, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Matthew 9:35-38, Mark 6:30-32, Luke 5:15-16, John 11:1,6,17. What verses or ideas stand out to you from these passages? What questions do you have? What would you like to remember and apply to your life?
  • Is there anything you are wanting to change during the New Year? What aspects of your life are you hoping to apply Biblical wisdom toward?
  • What are some different ways we think about our time? Do those thoughts align with what the Scripture teaches about time? How can our lives be more in sync with Biblical wisdom in this area?
  • What one word would you use to describe your pace of life? Is that sustainable for you? Do you wish that word were different? if so, what word do you wish described your pace of life?
  • Look at the examples of Jesus’ life in the Gospels. What words would you use to describe Jesus in those passages? What challenges you when you look at how he lived and and loved others?

  • We live in a culture of comparison, which often causes us to think negatively about ourselves. How does this impact the role we play in the church? How can we grow in our confidence of who we are and the gifts God has given us?
  • Read Romans 12:6-8. In what ways do you think God has gifted you to build up the church? In what ways are you using those gifts at Riverview?
