Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law. For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.

Deuteronomy 32:46-47

Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.

Psalm 119:89

I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.

Psalm 119:15-16

The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Psalm 119:72

This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.

Psalm 119:50

Your law is true.

Psalm 119:142

All your commandments are true.

Psalm 119:151

God’s Word is the Truth.

The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”

Psalm 110:1

God’s Word comes with God’s authority.

For David says concerning him, “I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.”

Acts 2:25-28

I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, “He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.” I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.

John 13:18-20

But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”

Hebrews 1:8-9

But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”

Ephesians 4:7-8

Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.

Psalm 119:89

God’s Word produces spiritual growth.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Proverbs 3:5-8

Am I one who trusts in God’s written word as my authority over all other authorities?

Am I one who does not lean on my own personal or my own cultural understanding?

When my actions or my attitudes don’t line up with God’s word, am I willing to turn away from evil and honor the Lord?

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.

Proverbs 3:13-18
