Meet an MSU student: Nina

[intro]Each week, the MSU Venue introduces a different student on campus. This week we’re introducing you to Nina.[/intro]

What is your favorite song currently?

Nina: Riptide by Vance Joy. I can’t stop listening to it.

What have you enjoyed about growing up in Riv?

Nina: Having so many friends that I’ve known my whole life. Basically we’re just a large extended family. Additionally, seeing the growth of Riverview over the years has been pretty awesome.

Where in Lansing do you go to “escape”?

Nina: Any coffee shop with cushy chairs and good Americanos, where I can curl up with a good book. Also, Horrocks.

Once again, I was given the choice to trust that God was going to use this for good, or wallow in self-pity and despair. I did a little of both.

How have you seen the love of God affect you at a specific time in your life?

Nina: The beginning of my senior year of high school. One of my aunts, who I’m really close to, was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. I was devastated, but I had never felt the love of God more present in my life.
