Put Jesus First

Take a moment to make a list of the words you use to define yourself. Is Christian at the top of your list? Pastor Tony Pyle challenges us to place Christian, follower of Jesus, at the top of our list as our primary identity. It can be easy to allow other things in our lives to take precedence over being a follower of Jesus, but he encourages us to surround ourselves with trustworthy brothers and sisters and ask them to speak into our lives and what we are prioritizing. We need others to share truth with us, not only about who God is and what He has done with us, but about ourselves as well.

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
