Tony Pyle

Colossians 1:21-23

Our confidence in our lives as followers of Jesus does not come from ourselves, but through the Gospel and what Jesus has accomplished for us.

Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds expressed in your evil actions.

Colossians 1:21

God — his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.

Psalm 18:30

Our Lord is great, vast in power; his understanding is infinite.

Psalm 147:5

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? And who has ever given to God, that he should be repaid? For from him and through him and to him are all things.

Romans 11:33-36

Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds expressed in your evil actions. But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him

Colossians 1:21-22

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile everything to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Colossians 1:19-20

But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him  —  if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

Colossians 1:22-23

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

John 10:28

“You were sealed by him for the day of redemption.”

Ephesians 4:30

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

But now he has reconciled you by his physical body through his death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before him  —  if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

Colossians 1:22-23

The Greek indicates not an uncertain prospect but a necessary condition and an almost certain assumption.… Paul is at once insistent and confident; they must [continue], and he is sure that they will.
