The Heart of Christ
Young Yi
Matthew 11:28-30
We often think of love as something we have to earn. What does it look like for a follower of Christ to be loved by Christ? Pastor Young Yi reminds us that the love of God is freely given to those who accept Him into their hearts and lives. We are called to slow down with Jesus, to take on His yolk of rest, and love others freely.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.
“Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
The easy yoke and burden of Jesus Christ is the supreme ethic of love.
It is only when we slow down our lives that we can catch up to God. – N.T. Wright
