When the Bible says, “God Remembered,” it means he is bringing to mind a promise he has made and is acting on it.

Genesis 8-9

Because God remembered Noah and acted on his promise to save him, Noah remembered God and responded in worship.

God says, “I love the mountains. I love the trees. I love the bunny rabbits. I love the beetles. I love everything I’ve made, and I am not just its Creator; I’m its Savior. I am not going to let it be cursed because of the sin of the gardeners, of the vice-regents, of the human beings I’ve put into this world to take care of it. If you are going to rape and pillage the earth, I won’t let that happen. I’m going to take care of it. I’m going to be the Savior of it.”

-Tim Keller

Great Promises from Scripture related to Noah’s story:

Philippians 4:18-19

Ephesians 6:2-3

Hebrews 10:17-18

Because of Jesus, God has promised to forget our sins and he will act on that promise.
